Overcoming Procrastination, Perfectionism, Blocks and Fears
(1 hour – 3 hours; often conducted together with Time Management, below)
This workshop helps participants understand the specific nature of their procrastination and blocks, and why they may not previously have been able to overcome their procrastination problem. It also discusses the key procrastination symptoms of perfectionism, negativity and fear of failure/success. After precisely characterizing the problem, we discuss solutions, and keys for living a happier and more productive life. We also discuss mentors as a crucial component of success, and how to locate and cultivate them. After the workshop, participants typically feel energetic and empowered and eager to go home and make some of the changes we’ve discussed. Many later report making more progress on their goals than they have in a long time.

Time Management
(1 hour – 3 hours; often conducted together with Overcoming Procrastination, above)
This workshop begins with a discussion of how time should be viewed and valued (contrary to the cliché, time is not money; it’s far more valuable than money); why one needs to manage it; and how successful people tend to view and use time. Then we move onto the five foundational principles of time management, and contrast examples of managed and unmanaged time schedules. We then discuss right and wrong ways to use time, lifestyles that support and inhibit success, and techniques for budgeting and tracking your time. We also discuss how to set priorities, and how to “create” time through delegation and other techniques. Finally, we discuss tips for sticking to your schedule, and how to deal with unsupportive people. After the workshop, many participants report being more productive and less stressed.

Living a Joyful Life as an [Activist / Artist / Entrepreneur / Student]
(1 hour – 3 hours)
This workshop combines the above two topics with mission management to give a comprehensive view of the habits and attitudes underpinning a successful and joyful life that also includes a challenging mission such as activism, art, entrepreneurship or academia.

Secrets of the Prolific
(1 hour workshop – 20 hour class)
This workshop (or longer class) is intended for writers of all kinds, including fiction and nonfiction writers, screenwriters, poets, academic writers, journalists, bloggers, and those who write for business. No matter what type of writing you do, if you are blocked or underproductive, this class will help. You will learn why underproductivity is NOT the result of laziness or lack of commitment, but constraints that are inhibiting your ability to create. We examine, and discuss ways of overcoming, those constraints, which include procrastination, perfectionism, resource constraints, bias, internalized oppression, and exploitation. Liberate yourself from those constraints, as this workshop teaches, and you will see your energy, discipline, commitment, etc., “magically” reappear – and your writing take off!
